The first time I heard the older but nevertheless wonderful album "The Portal of I" and later the 23 minutes lasting epicness of Painters of the Tempest that on it's own makes Citadel the greatest of the three very nice albums of this band, I was in love with the complex and wellwritten songstructures. I am waiting for the follow-up of Urn..... grote_smurf
Hellenic prog/avant/psych experimental black (barely) metal, matured in their extravaganza on this album to the highest peak. I notice influences of Arcturus, Pink Floyd, Oranssi Pazuzu, Ulver, King Crimson, and many more. Pretty unique, and best album of HSN... Their next album is not a metal at all. Dmitry Nevozhay
Easily one of the best metal albums of the 2010s, which says something.
Musically, it's like you've taken black metal, doom, and good old NWOBHM and thrown it into a blender for a while.
More impressively, the lyrics to these songs are some of the most hauntingly beautiful and devastating I've ever heard.
Case in point, Junta. Just listen to it. grungiernine0
